BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The “Parade of Shamrocks” scheduled for Saturday in Bethlehem has been canceled due to the forecasted rain and snow.
While event organizers have decided not to reschedule, there are plenty of other options to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, which is next week.
Saturday is Easton’s St. Patrick’s Pub Crawl. Adults 21 and older are invited to walk to nearly a dozen bars while wearing their favorite green attire. The $25 ticket price includes drink specials, food and live Irish music.
On Thursday, a new four-day festival called Sláinte kicks-off at the SteelStacks Campus.
Several bands from Ireland will be in town, as well as Pennsylvania’s own Celtic group “House of Hamill.” Attendees can try authentic Irish food and whiskey pairings. Tickets for the event, which is organized by ArtsQuest, Donegal Square and McCarthy’s Red Stag Pub, start at $25.
To wrap up the week, the region’s oldest Irish celebration, the Allentown St. Patrick’s Parade, steps off at the Allentown Fairgrounds at 1:30 p.m. on March 20.
