30-year-old shot in Southside Bethlehem; police seek suspects

The shooting occurred about 1 a.m. Friday in the 400 block of Pierce Street. Police described it as "an isolated incident between known parties."

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - A 30-year-old man was shot and critically wounded early Friday in Southside Bethlehem, police said.

Officers called at 1 a.m. to the 400 block of Pierce Street found a gunshot victim.

He was in critical condition at a local hospital and is expected to survive, according to police Capt. William Audelo.

Audelo said no arrests have been made and no further information will be released.

"Detectives are actively investigating and working to identify potential suspect(s)," Audelo said in a statement.

"Based on the preliminary investigation, this appears to be an isolated incident between known parties. At this time, there is no belief of any ongoing danger to the public."
