BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Lehigh Valley is heading into a heat wave, but ArtsQuest already is gearing up for a joyful holiday season with a Christmas-in-July announcement of the upcoming holiday schedule.
From Christkindlmarkt to Winter Winefest, the city will be filled with festive activities to celebrate the season, ArtsQuest said in a news release.

- Christkindlmarkt will run from Nov. 17 to Dec. 30 and feature food vendors, artisans and retailers
- SteelStacks Ice Rink will open Nov. 21 through Jan. 15, with an expanded schedule and a food and beverage area for convenience
Kicking off on Nov. 17 and running until Dec. 30, Christkindlmarkt will feature food vendors, artisans and retailers.
The event will be open on weekends, adding Thursdays starting Nov. 30 for a month of holiday shopping and festivities.
The SteelStacks Ice Rink, presented by Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, returns for a second year with an expanded schedule, opening on Nov. 21 and operating until Jan. 15.
The larger rink also will include a food and beverage area for easy access to refreshments.
The authentic ice rink was first built last year at Bethlehem Steel's blast furnace. Watch the time lapse of the building process here.
ice rink steelstacks.mp4Holiday Art Camps and Creative Family Workshops will take place at the Banana Factory, 25 W. 3rd St., Bethlehem, providing opportunities for creative expression during the holiday season.
In February 2024, the Winter Winefest & Market will offer visitors wine sampling and interactive seminars, with more details available on the SteelStacks website.
Peepsfest, presented by Just Born, will be back on Dec. 30 and 31, featuring family-friendly activities and fireworks following the annual Peeps Chick drop to make the New Year.
The holiday events will continue into January with a Three Kings Day celebration on Jan. 6, 2024.
