Changes include a new carpet, new furniture, shorter library shelves and a more open floor plan. There is also a computer center and reference desk in the middle of the room. The library now has "huddle rooms," where members can meet in small groups or take virtual meetings.

The reopening was hosted at the main library location, on 11 W. Church St.

In addition to the open house, the library hosted a birthday party with music and dancing for the facility's bearded dragon, Spike, at the kids area on the second floor.

The Bethlehem Area Public Library first opened in 1967.
