BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Some less than desirable weather has caused a postponement for at least one local Halloween event.

On the city of Bethlehem website, an alert bar says, “Due to the forecasted rain, the Bethlehem Halloween Parade has been postponed. It is now scheduled to take place on the rain date, Sunday, November 5th, at 2pm.”

A press release from the city continued, “The parade will begin on 9th Ave. and W. Broad St. and march east to Main St. and then South to the lot on Spring and Main Streets.

“This year’s parade has 85 entries, including 9 scholastic bands, all 16 Bethlehem Area School District Elementary Schools, various City departments, local officials, floats, scouting groups, community organizations and businesses. The position of Grand Marshal will be shared by 15 of our fantastic Bethlehem Area School District students.

“Parade participants will be contacted this week with further information.

“We apologize for any inconvenience and hope that everyone will come out next Sunday.”
