BETHLEHEM, Pa. — If you like cheesesteaks and subs, now might be the time to invest.

Matt and Cindy Weintraub are selling both locations of Carl’s Corner, a popular cheesesteak spot situated in Bethlehem and Nazareth.

  • Both locations of Carl's Corner are up for sale
  • Carl's Corner has operated for years in Bethlehem and opened a spot in Nazareth two years ago
  • The news was announced in a Facebook post Wednesday night

Carl's Corner has served the Bethlehem area since 1991, originally as "J’s Steaks and Subs," changing to the now-locally-famous name of Carl's Corner in 1996.

Originally owned by Carl and Betsy Souders, the shop operated under them for over 20 years.

“Selling does NOT MEAN CLOSING!”

When Betsy Souders began to talk about retiring in 2017, the Weintraubs came into the picture.

The owners of the deli since 2018, the Weintraubs cited family matters and health concerns as the reasons for the sale in a widely circulated Facebook post.

This may not be the end, though, as the Weintraubs wrote, “Selling does NOT MEAN CLOSING!”

The Nazareth location opened in 2021.
