BETHLEHEM, Pa. — A Lehigh Valley native who has been employed with B. Braun for 40 years has been chosen chief executive officer of B. Braun of America, the company announced Wednesday.
Rob Albert, of Lower Saucon Township, joined the company in 1984 as a manufacturing supervisor. The company’s board of directors said he will become CEO starting April 1.
Albert succeeds Jean-Claude Dubacher, who will remain chairman of the board of B. Braun of America and take on global management responsibilities.

The medical device manufacturer has operated in the Lehigh Valley since the late 1970s and is headquartered in a manufacturing plant off Marcon Boulevard in Hanover Township, Lehigh County.
Albert becomes CEO after serving since 2012 as senior vice president and chief marketing officer of B. Braun Medical Inc., which has a facility off 12th Avenue in Bethlehem.
He has held roles in operations, sales and marketing during his career.
A graduate of Clarion University in western Pennsylvania, Albert is chairman of the Northampton Community College Foundation board. He is a graduate of Nazareth Area High School.
B. Braun employs 8,500 people at more than 30 locations in North America. Globally, the B. Braun Group of Companies employs more than 64,000 employees in 64 countries, the company said.
