BETHLEHEM, Pa. — It's a meal full of sin and sweets.

For the first time since the pandemic, the Historic Hotel Bethlehem will host its popular dinner series at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 18.

This year's theme: the Seven Deadly Sins.

  • The Historic Hotel Bethlehem's dinner series returns after a three-year hiatus
  • The Seven Deadly Sins dinner and wine pairing will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 18
  • The pre-fixe dining experience costs $75 per person

"Our incredibly innovative culinary team wanted to kick off the return of wine dinners with a creative and fun theme. From the fried oyster appetizer through the pistachio cake dessert, guests will savor a decadent experience," said Kelly Ronalds, director of room sales and guest experience at the hotel said in a release.

Pancetta crisps, duck confit

The sinful menu includes pairings of California fine wines selected by Steve DiDonato of the Wine Merchant.

Bring an appetite: the five-course meal begins with gluttony — fried oyster, corn meal, lemon chive cream with pinot gris.

The second course, wrath, consists of duck confit habanero broth coupled with pinot noir.

The third course pairs vanity and lust in a citrus salad with pears, pecans and pancetta together and a sauvignon blanc.

The main dish, sloth, is a braised short rib with a sweet potato puree and cabernet sauvignon.

On tap for the dessert portion, named greed and envy, is a pistachio cake topped with chocolate truffle and coupled with a five-year old Blandy Madiera from Portugal.

The pre-fixe dining experience costs $75 per person. For reservations, call 610-625-2226.
