Sounds of SouthSide: Arts district to host free Bethlehem concerts

Local bands will perform at a series of concerts scheduled Sunday from May 21 through June 11 at the Harmony Pavilion on the South Bethlehem Greenway.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. —  Check out the sounds of SouthSide.

Live on the Greenway, a new free concert series in the SouthSide Arts District, will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays from May 21 through June 11.

The weekly events, taking place at the Harmony Pavilion between Webster and Taylor streets, showcase a variety of local musicians, plus food and drinks.

Beats of Bethlehem

Starting the series are acoustic guitarist Doug Kaetz and From the Dark River on May 21; followed by Grateful Dead tribute band Life After Dead on May 28; country crooner John DeRosa (featuring Sweet Revenge) on June 4; and indie rockers We're From Antarctica on June 11.
Additionally, South Bethlehem food vendors Couchpota.Doh!, Jenny's Kuali, General Zapatas, Dinky's Ice Cream Parlor and Grille, Five Maidens Cider Company and Social Still Distillery will be selling tacos, empanadas, plantains, Malaysian bites, sundaes, burgers, bolon de verde, fries, and non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.
