HELLERTOWN, Pa. — U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson is coming to the Lehigh Valley this week to campaign with Republican congressional candidate Ryan Mackenzie.
Johnson, a Louisiana Republican, will accompany Mackenzie at a volunteer get-out-the-vote rally in Hellertown on Thursday afternoon, according to a Mackenzie campaign advisory.
The exact location has yet to be made public.
Mackenzie, a state representative, is challenging incumbent Democrat U.S. Rep. Susan Wild, who is seeking her fourth term.
The 52-year-old Johnson is in his fourth term representing Louisiana’s 4th Congressional District. He has been House speaker since last October when he was selected to replace the ousted Kevin McCarthy.
