Da Vinci Science Center hosts Star Wars Day event

Star Wars Day at the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown will take place from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A short time from now, at a venue not so far away, fans can participate in Star Wars Day.

The Da Vinci Science Center will hold an out-of-this-galaxy experience from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15.

Highlighting the event will be the appearance of Garrison Carida, 501st Legion, an officially recognized Star Wars costuming group.

Fans can meet iconic Star Wars characters and enjoy interactive activities that bring the beloved saga to life.

Tickets, at $20 (online) or $22 (in person) can be bought at the davinci Science Center website or at the door, at 815 W. Hamilton St., Allentown.

Fans also are invited to attend dressed as their favorite Star Wars characters for an immersive adventure.

The special event is included with general admission and free for da Vinci Science Center members.

Tickets, at $20 (online) or $22 (in person) can be bought at the Da Vinci Science Center website or at the door, at 815 W. Hamilton St., Allentown.

Activities include:

  • Character appearances and photo opportunities, 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.
  • Use the Force live science shows at 11 a.m. and 1 and 3 p.m.
  • Meet and Greet with Finn, the striped skunk at noon and 2:30 p.m.
  • Build your own paper circuit light saber
  • Create a mini rocket and test its flying abilities
  • Take a look at the sun up close with solar telescopes
  • Special Star Wars-themed otter chat at 2 p.m.
