SOUTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. — Iron Menace is riding high.

Dorney Park's new Iron Menace roller coaster has secured a fourth-place finish in USA Today's 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for Best New Theme Park Attraction.

The Northeast’s first-ever "dive" roller coaster, with its 95-degree, 152-foot drop, sits behind only PenguinTrek at SeaWorld Orlando in Florida; Fire in the Hole at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri; and Good Gravy! at Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana.

"Since opening last spring, it's been a hit with the guests, and we're proud to offer such a unique experience right here at Dorney Park."

Ryan Eldredge, regional public relations manager for Dorney Park and Six Flags Great Adventure

"We're excited to see Iron Menace being recognized as one of the top new attractions in the country," said Ryan Eldredge, regional public relations manager for Dorney Park and Six Flags Great Adventure.

"Since opening last spring, it's been a hit with the guests, and we're proud to offer such a unique experience right here at Dorney Park."

Opened in April 2023, which also has innovative features including the first-ever tilted loop on a dive coaster.

Set in an industrial-themed area inspired by Bethlehem Steel, Iron Menace immerses riders in a fictional story about a corrupt steel baron, Hiram S. McTavish.

"With its thrilling backstory connected to the industrial history of the Lehigh Valley, we're honored to represent this community with a ride that's as dynamic and bold as the region itself," Eldredge said.

Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom opens for the 2025 season on May 9.
