Kirkland Village Senior Living Community in Bethlehem and Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehab in Allentown and Fountain Hill are restricting visitors effective immediately.

Zach Shamberg, president and CEO of the Pennsylvania Health Care Association says prevention and safety take precedence.

“The number one priority right now of any long term care provider across Pennsylvania and really across the country is the safety of the residents and the staff. So we are strongly advising that all long term care facilities take all the preventative measures and precautions necessary to combat a single case or outbreak of COVDID19," said Shamberg.

Those measures include a deep cleaning of all high top surfaces and more training for staff on the proper use of personal protective equipment like gloves, goggles, gowns and masks.
