BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Following a forecast for Tuesday calling for significant snowfall, many Lehigh Valley schools are announcing virtual instruction or closing entirely.
Several school districts have opted for traditional snow days, with Whitehall-Coplay, Allentown, Parkland, Nazareth Area, Bethlehem Area, Northampton Area, Catasauqua Area, Salisbury Township and Southern Lehigh school districts all announcing days with no remote instruction.
Northampton Community College and Lehigh Carbon Community College also will be closed.
Nazareth Area School District will be making up the day on March 28, as it had already used the state-allotted number of inclement weather days for the year.
East Penn School District and Bangor Area School District both announced Flexible Instruction Days (FIDs), which require students to log in remotely and complete asynchronous work.
The snow is expected to hit after 4 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. Accumulation is expected to be between 3 and 7 inches for much of the Lehigh Valley.
