Nitschmann Middle School to operate remotely Thursday due to heat

The Bethlehem-based middle school will operate virtually Thursday as it undergoes air conditioning repairs, the school district said.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Around 900 Nitschmann Middle School students will attend school virtually Thursday, according to an announcement.

Repairs to the air conditioning system are prompting the move.

"Because of much needed repairs to the Nitschmann Middle School air conditioning system and the anticipated high temperatures through Thursday, Nitschmann Middle School will operate on a virtual instructional day schedule on Thursday, May 23, 2024," the announcement said.

A BASD Facebook post suggests students follow the online schedule posted to the Nitschmann Middle School webpage.
