ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Lehigh County officials have completed repairs from an electrical fire at the county courthouse, which is expected to reopen Tuesday.
County Executive Phil Armstrong said Friday that local officials feared they would have to order replacement parts from Germany before they managed to dry out electrical equipment.

Armstrong said a leak somewhere in the building late Tuesday let water drip along a wire, eventually causing a circuit to short.
The resulting smoke set off the building's automatic sprinklers, which damaged the building's electrical system. The fire caused minimal damage, according to officials.
The courthouse has been closed since Wednesday morning, requiring hearings to be rescheduled.
The Historic Lehigh County Courthouse next door has continued to operate normally. All county buildings will be closed to the public Monday for the Christmas holiday.
