ALLENTOWN, Pa. — An agent assigned to the state Attorney General’s Allentown office was charged Monday with possessing child pornography, authorities said.
Joshua Steven Gonzalez, 39, of South Whitehall Township, was scheduled to be arraigned Monday morning, according to online court records.
A Lehigh County detective traced child pornography videos to Gonzalez’s computer after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received tips in October 2022 and April 2023 that someone posted those videos online, Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin said in a news release.
Gonzalez posted his $50,000 bail Monday, court records show. A preliminary hearing for Gonzalez is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Nov. 22 in Lehigh County Court.
Online court records did not list an attorney for Gonzalez.
