ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Allentown Symphony Orchestra will hold an open casting call for classical musical lovers.
The orchestra's chorus auditions will be from 6-10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in the Rodale Room of Miller Symphony Hall, 23 N. Sixth St.
The Allentown Symphony's chorus, now in its 11th season, is seeking soprano, alto, tenor, bass I and bass II volunteer singers for a Veteran's Day concert on Sunday, Nov 17.

The symphony's chorus, now in its 11th season, is seeking soprano, alto, tenor, bass I and bass II volunteer singers for a Veteran's Day concert on Sunday, Nov 17.
New and returning chorus members also will partake in the Allentown Symphony Orchestra's performance of Vaughan Williams' "Dona Nobis Pacem" during the symphony's "Copland Fanfare and Brahms" production held in March.
The Allentown Symphony Chorus, consisting of 50 members, is a professional-level chorus that is featured once a year with the symphony.
Rehearsal for the spring concert will begin on Thursday evenings starting Jan. 16.
New singers auditioning for an honorarium position also must prepare solo pieces for their auditions.
The solo should be an aria (a solo piece from an opera or large-scale work), or art song (a stand-alone piece or part of a set) of five minutes or less.
