WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. — A man on a bicycle died Wednesday afternoon after he was struck by a vehicle on MacArthur Road, the Lehigh County Coroner's Office said.

The crash happened about 1:15 p.m. near Sutler Drive.

The victim was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, where he was pronounced dead of injuries sustained in the crash, Coroner Dan Buglio said. An autopsy is set for Friday.

"At this time, the only information that can be released is that the decedent is an adult male," Buglio said in a news release.

Besides the coroner's office, investigating are Whitehall Township police, the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office and the Lehigh County Crash Team.
