EASTON, Pa. — Easton's mayor wants to create panels to help city neighborhoods tell city leaders what they want for their communities.
Also announced were three neighborhood pop-up festivals scheduled for this spring.

- Each task force "will develop a neighborhood strategic plan for their respective neighborhood,” Panto said

Mayor Sal Panto Jr. on Tuesday announced four Neighborhood Advisory Task Forces — one for each neighborhood of the city.
“The infusion of investment into our city has expanded our tax base and now allows us to address the needs and wants of our neighborhoods, which are the life blood of our city,” Panto said in a release.
“Our Administration wants to listen to the residents of each neighborhood to determine how they want their neighborhood to develop."

A combined initial meeting of all task force members was set for 6 p.m. April 19 in City Hall.

Panto also announced pop-up festivals from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. for three dates this spring:
- April 22 at Nevin Park on College Hill
- April 29 at Centennial Park in the West Ward
- May 3 at the Easton Area Neighborhood Center on Southside
Each festival will feature Balloons the Clown, live music and food.
According to the release, “Panto will be cooking and serving free hot dogs.”
