Lehigh Valley's first baby of new year comes minutes after midnight

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — It didn't take long for the Lehigh Valley to welcome its first baby of the year.

Carissa Corneil and Victor Caraballo-Bourdier of Lower Milford Township welcomed baby Isabella Mia Bourdier-Corneil at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest at 12:11 a.m., Jefferson Health system announced.

Baby Isabella was born weighing 7 lbs. 10 oz. and measuring 21 inches long, the hospital system said in a release.

The first baby at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem arrived a half-hour later, Jefferson said.

Priscilla Flores and Jason Olowoyo of Bethlehem welcomed Elliana Tola Olowoyo at 12:42 am, weighing 5 lbs. 2 oz. and measuring 17.5 inches long.
