HARRISBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania’s top election official is asking voters to return their completed mail-in ballots this weekend. WLVR’s Tyler Pratt has more.
Mail-in voters have until Election Day to cast their ballot, and Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar recommends that voters do not wait and, where possible, avoid using the mail.
“We’re urging everybody, if you can drop off in person that’s just the safest way to go.”
Boockvar says dropping off your ballot will ensure it is received on time. Mail-in voters should get an email confirmation later from their county.
Nearly 3 million mail-in ballots applications have been approved, and more than a third have already been returned in this historic election.
Early in-person voting is available at county registration offices through Oct. 27. But Boockvar says, with 9 million Pennsylvanians and counting registered to vote this year, she expects a record turnout on Election Day.
