7 presumed confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Pa.

Pennsylvania now has seven presumed cases of the coronavirus, mostly in the Philadelphia area. That’s up from two cases on Friday.

HARRISBURG, Pa - The state Health Department announced the seventh case this afternoon. A fifth Montgomery County resident is presumed positive for COVID-19.

This individual is an adult, and is at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in critical condition, where they are being cared for under proper precautions to protect other patients and hospital staff.

They tested presumptive positive after known international exposure.

Pennsylvania now has seven presumptive positive cases of coronavirus, five in Montgomery County, one in Delaware County and one in Wayne County.

In the other six cases, officials say the patients have mild symptoms and are in isolation at home.

Germantown Academy, a K-through-12 private school in Montgomery County, announced it is closed this week because one of the cases is a family member of a student.
