“Travel Alert,” officials posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Due to #HurricaneDebby, several flights have been canceled on Monday. We encourage passengers to stay engaged with their airline for any additional information or visit https://flyabe.com.”
LehighValleyNews.com has reached out to airport officials for more information.

As of about 10:30 a.m. Monday, three flights departing from the airport, 3311 Airport Road, have been canceled, according to LVIA’s website. Those include two Allegiant flights, to Melbourne and Sanford, as well as a Delta flight to Atlanta.

Debby early Monday was a hurricane making landfall along the Gulf Coast of Florida. It is expected to bring potentially historic rainfall across southeast Georgia and the coastal plain of South Carolina.

It is unclear how much rain the Valley could see in the region as a result of the storm, but forecasters have warned it’s most likely going to be a wet week.
