WATCH: Allentown School Board candidates' forum

Candidates for Allentown School Board will participate in a forum tonight at the Univest Public Media Center organized by the League of Women Voters of Lehigh County. Seven of the 8 candidates on the ballot are expected to participate.

The League of Women Voters of Lehigh County is holding school board candidate forums in advance of the Nov. 4, 2025, election. The forums are being held in partnership with Lehigh Valley Public Media, which is hosting the forums at the Univest Public Media Center in Bethlehem.

You can watch the forum here when it begins or on the PBS39 YouTube channel. It will also be broadcast on PBS39 later this week.

The forum is being moderated by the League of Women Voters in partnership with Lehigh Valley Public Media, which will host and broadcast the forum from the Univest Public Media Center on the SteelStacks campus in Bethlehem.

It's the first of four school board forums the organizations are teaming up to produce.

Here are the dates they are being held and the school districts:

  • Allentown School Board: Monday, Sept. 29
  • East Penn School Board: Tuesday, Sept. 30
  • Parkland School Board: Monday, Oct. 6
  • Southern Lehigh School Board: Tuesday, Oct. 7

The free hourlong forums will be held before a studio audience at 7 each night at the Univest Public Media Center.

All candidates whose names will appear on the ballot have been invited to participate.

  • Allentown School Board – 6 p.m. Thursday Oct. 2, and 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7
  • East Penn School Board – 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, and 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14
  • Parkland School Board – 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, and 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21
  • Southern Lehigh School Board – 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, and 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28.

The municipal election in Pennsylvania is Tuesday, Nov. 4.
