WATCH: Republicans seeking Lehigh Co. executive seat debate on PBS39

Mike Welsh and Roger MacLean are seeking the Republican nomination for Lehigh County executive in the May 20 primary election. They debated Wednesday at the Univest Public Media Center in Bethlehem.

Participating were Mike Welsh and Roger MacLean.

The debate was held at the Univest Public Media Center in Bethlehem.

LehighValleyNews.com political reporter Tom Shortell and 91.3 WLVR's All Things Considered host Megan Frank served as co-moderators.

Besides PBS39, the hourlong debate was streamed live on LehighValleyNews.com, on LehighValleyNews.com’s Facebook account, and on the PBS39 YouTube channel.

The debate was also simulcast live on 91.3 WLVR.

Democrat Josh Siegel, a state representative, is running unopposed on the Democratic ticket. He has said he intends to debate the winner of the Republican primary in the fall.

Other debates

This was the fourth and final debate hosted and organized this primary season by Lehigh Valley Public Media.

Others have included races for Allentown mayor, Bethlehem mayor and Northampton County executive.
