BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Professional organizers in the Lehigh Valley are teaming up to hold a free drive-thru shredding event called SHREDfest to benefit the community.

  • Four Lehigh Valley professional organizers are partnering to host a free drive-thru shredding event called SHREDfest
  • SHREDfest will take place on March 25 at Freedom High School in Bethlehem, and participants are limited to no more than 6 bags, boxes, and/or bins of items to be shredded
  • Philadelphia-based Pro Shred will provide the truck for SHREDfest, which will be held rain or shine

The event is planned for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 25 in the front lot of the Freedom High School on Chester Avenue in Bethlehem.

Tom Harper, owner of Tom's Organizing Made Simple, Darla Pompilio, owner of Your Tasks-Our Time, Robin Stankowski, owner of RLN Organizing, and Colleen Warmingham, owner of Minimologist, are co-sponsoring the event and participants will be allowed up to six bags, boxes or bins of items to be shredded, and paper-clipped and stapled papers will be accepted.

Three-ring binders and other hardback covers, including books, will not be accepted.

Rain or shine, Philadelphia-based Pro Shred plans to provide the shredding truck for the event.

Participants will be asked to place items in the passenger side or trunk of their car, so shredding staff can quickly grab them, allowing drivers to stay in their vehicles.
