"A Community Convesation: When the Funding Fades" will be broadcast at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, on PBS39. It will be hosted by Executive Producer Brittany Sweeney and explore the challenges faced by Lehigh Valley nonprofit organizations.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — PBS39 explored the challenges faced by Lehigh Valley’s nonprofit organizations as they deliver services amid reduced funding.

“A Community Conversation: When the Funding Fades” is a live show that will detail how recent federal funding cuts and interruptions are affecting agencies and the people they serve.

Among the affected: food pantries, youth programs, housing initiatives and mental health services.

The hourlong program is hosted by PBS39 Executive Producer Brittany Sweeney.

It will be broadcast at PBS39 and streaming at PBS39.org, as well as on the PBS39 YouTube channel.
