Coroner identifies 68-year-old fatally struck by train in Emmaus

Lehigh County Coroner Dan Buglio identified the woman struck by a train in Emmaus Wednesday afternoon. The victim was a 68-year-old woman from Emmaus.

EMMAUS, Pa. — Lehigh County Coroner Dan Buglio identified the pedestrian hit by a train Wednesday afternoon as Teresa G. Bell.

Bell, 68, of Emmaus, died from multiple blunt force injuries due to a pedestrian-train collision, Buglio said.

Preliminary reports say Bell was attempting to cross the railroad tracks on the 200 Block of South Third Street in Emmaus.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:11 p.m., and Bell was pronounced dead at 1:54 p.m.

The coroner's office, Emmaus Police Department and Norfolk Southern Police Department are investigating.
