LOWER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa — A suspicious package that prompted the shutdown of busy Route 100 and a building evacuation Monday was determined not to be a threat, Pennsylvania State Police said.
The FBI is aiding the investigation, which is continuing, state police said Monday night.
An employee at Ryder Logistics, 8620 Congdon Hill Drive, opened a package that appeared to be suspicious and found inside another package with writing and threats, state police said.
The package was delivered to the facility through the mail room, according to state police.
It was taken outside and the distribution center was evacuated as a precaution, authorities said.

Congdon Hill Drive at Spring Creek Road remains closed Monday night for the investigation, police said.
State police were assisted by the Allentown Bomb Squad, Lower Macungie Township Fire Department and Lehigh University K-9.
