Bethlehem police investigating double shooting

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — City police are investigating a double shooting that occurred early Friday on the South Side.

Officers responded just after midnight, at 12:12 a.m., to reports of gunfire at Sizzling Bites, at 312 E. 3rd St., according to a release.

Upon arrival, they found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a local hospital by Bethlehem EMS and listed in stable condition, the release said.

Shortly after, a second adult victim arrived at an area hospital in a private vehicle, also with gunshot wounds related to the same incident, police said. That individual also was reported to be in stable condition.

Police said several customers were inside the restaurant at the time of the shooting, but no other injuries were reported.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
