COOPERSBURG, Pa. — Authorities are investigating after the body of a 39-year-old New Jersey resident was found in a dumpster behind the Santander Bank on Saturday.

The body of Lucrecia E. Jadan Sumba, of Elizabeth Township, NJ, was discovered just before 6 p.m. in the 200 block of S. 3rd Street, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office said in a release.

An autopsy was completed Monday, and the coroner ruled Sumba's death a homicide due to “sharp force injuries.”

In addition to the coroner’s office, the Elizabeth Police Department, the Union County Prosecutor’s Office, Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office and the Coopersburg Police Department are investigating.
