Walnutport man dies following Christmas Day crash in Lehigh County

WASHINGTON TWP, Pa. — A 78-year-old Walnutport man died Christmas Day from injuries he sustained in a single-vehicle crash in the township, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.

Gregg A. Henritzy was pronounced dead at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 25 in the emergency department at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Coroner Dan Buglio said in a release.

The coroner said Henritzy died from multiple blunt force injuries. His death was ruled an accident.

Authorities said Henritzy was driving a vehicle that hit a utility pole at 1:14 p.m. near Route 873 and Venture Court.

State Police from Troop M's Bethlehem station, along with the coroner’s office, are investigating the crash.
