UPPER MILFORD TWP., Pa. — A 58-year-old Upper Saucon Township woman was killed Saturday night in a one-car crash in Upper Milford, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office said.

The accident occurred at 8:23 p.m. in the 4000 block of Indian Creek Road, according to a news release.

The coroner identified the driver as Jane E. Zamichieli and said she died of multiple blunt force injuries from the crash.

Zamichieli was thrown from her vehicle after it veered off the road and went down an embankment, the release said. She was transported from the scene and died at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.

In addition to the coroner’s office, Pennsylvania State Police from the Fogelsville barracks also are investigating.

It was the first of two fatal crashes in the county over the weekend. A 21-year-old man died Sunday in a motorcycle crash in South Whitehall Township, the coroner said.
