While the Census Bureau’s Local Air Conditioning Estimates, or LACE, showed more than nine of 10 U.S. households have AC, there are areas where access is virtually nonexistent.
The study, released late last week by the Delaware River Basin Commission, detected per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances in surface water, sediment, fish and blue crab tissue collected throughout the basin, including along the tidal Delaware River.
A significant warmup is set to take hold across the Lehigh Valley this weekend and intensify into next week, bringing the region its first sustained stretch of summerlike heat of the season.
The proposed ordinance looks to define data centers and establish regulations to close gaps in the city’s zoning ordinance before any proposals are submitted.
“This is not just a one-day spike,” the weather service said in its forecast discussion. “Very warm and above normal temperatures will continue through the upcoming weekend.”
